Interprint Russia held the Interprint Flooring Days Russia in Moscow from 24 to 26 May 2016. 40 decision-makers from 18 companies of the flooring industry did not want to miss out on the trend event in the new showroom of the Moscow sales office. The majority of the guests came from Russia's capital but visitors from St. Petersburg, Stravropol and the neighbouring country Belarus also accepted Interprint's invitation. The workshop presentation, realised in this way for the first time in Russia, was based on the same 'on focus' motto as the current globally touring Interprint Furniture Days.
Décor Topics and Colours
Not everything had to be new in the month of May: Although new flooring trends aroused great interest, long-established décors were at the top of the list of the most popular décors at the Moscow workshop. The number one is still oak in all variations – from classic oak with knots (Williamsburg Allover) to flowery oak (Hamilton Oak) and country-style oak (Oldbury Oak). The colour finish may be experimental. Popular are faded shades in the style of nature. Conclusion: Oak continues to be sustainably popular. Harmonious but fairly classic décors promise success for Russian markets. In turbulent times, people seem to long for unagitated calm in their home.
Presentation and Workshop
The mix of trend storytelling, décor presentation and interactive flooring workshop is well-balanced. Inspired by visual input, hosts and visitors had very intensive discussions about the market potential of the presented flooring designs. "One of the reasons why the event was so successful among our customers was that we struck the right balance between inspiration and orientation," summarised Alexei Mezenev, Sales & Marketing Director of Interprint Russia.
