The world tour for Interprint Furniture Days, held under this year's motto "On focus", has been started: At the end of November, Interprint Russia in Moscow held its second workshop, which serves as a trend barometer in the industry. Around 100 experts representing over 50 companies from the furniture and wood-based products industries came from Russia, the CIS countries and Europe to attend the event, which was held as part of the Moscow Furniture Show 2015.
Time "on focus"
As for the Furniture Days 2015 held at the company's German headquarters in Arnsberg, the Moscow event also focussed on the emergence of "time" as a mega trend. Visitors were able to visit five stations to experience a full 24-hour day at an accelerated place: bathroom, kiosk in the park, office, bar and home. At each one of these places, Maurizio Burrato from the Interprint design team told unusual "time stories" as new décors were being presented.
Décor and colour trends
New interpretations of oak décors reflect the renaissance of elegant woods and were particularly positively received in Moscow. The topics "change of context" and "reditional" also captured the interest of the Russian public. "Reinventing" the tried-and-tested: in the world of décors, this is achieved in an exemplary fashion by classic types of wood with a contemporary colour finish. Whilst we are on the subject of colours, just as for the Furniture Days in Germany, the colours scoring points in Moscow were grey, brown and green tones accentuated by yellow or blue.
Interprint as a trendsetter
The second edition of Furniture Days Russia proved that Interprint is a trendsetter for the development of décors in Eastern Europe. "Our customers expect pioneering trends for creating beautiful living environments from Interprint décors," Maurizio Burrato explained. "Furniture Days in Moscow provide a creative environment for the exchange of ideas and inspiration in the Russian market."
That sounds like a promise and indeed it is: the next Interprint Furniture Days are due to be held in Russia at the end of 2016. The current edition of Furniture Days, meanwhile, will continue on its world tour.
