The guests were 87 participants from 32 companies of the South American wood-based material and furniture industries. Under the new “Points of View” motto, Interprint presented décor highlights that had already convinced the participants in the Furniture Days workshop in Arnsberg/Germany and trade visitors at ZOW 2014 in Germany.
One of the leading furniture trade fairs of South America will take place again at the end of March. Numerous manufacturers of the industry will present their new products at “Movelsul 2014”. The internationally active décor printer, Interprint, showed – in advance – which trends will prevail and provided inspirations for the design and processing of décors.
A historic building from the 1940’s provided the unconventional setting for the visual time travel through undiscovered worlds of contrast. Salvatore Figliuzzi, Décor Development & Marketing Manager at Interprint, accompanied the visitors full of enthusiasm on the journey and opened an exciting dialogue with the participants. The objective: To see the world from a different point of view! New perspectives were presented and discussed at six stations: the market changes, openness for inspiration and innovation, special moods, light and time. A look at the “analogue to digital” development makes it clear how diverse and complex the markets are today. Customers search for “real products” in the virtual world of the Internet and want orientation.
Authentic and Strong Character
The focus was on décors “beyond oak” with natural elements, strong character and high authenticity. The colours of the new Interprint décors range from natural and whitish-grey to dark shades. The focus was also on new décors that have already proven, both at the Furniture Days workshop and ZOW 2014 in Germany, that they have a great market success potential: Iconic, Maxim, Nash Oak, Nelson, Nomad and Pandora are “The Six Pack” – the six current décor favourites. “From Dusk till Dawn” describes completely new colour moods that can be optimally combined with wood décors. Soft, grey and yellowish shades – from dusk to dawn. The surfaces of metallic materials, for example, steel, brass, copper or tin – the “Cosmic Sparkle” trend family – also have an authentic look. A very special colour for the Interprint décors came from the fashion and interior design areas: the green colour of the “Jade” gemstone. A further point of view results from the design with light usage in a room or on furniture.
Contagious and Inspiring
The visitors took much with them and gave much back. The inspiring mood of the workshop and the unusual and new perspectives of markets, design and décors were really contagious for the visitors. Lourdes Manzanares, Managing Director Sales & Marketing at Interprint do Brasil, said: “Some visitors were even willing to travel the long way from Colombia or Ecuador to Brazil in order to attend the Furniture Days. Simply great people, super talks and a creative atmosphere. That also gave our team much energy, motivation and confidence for our future work”.
