Interprint Receives Design Award in Warsaw

The Interprint ‘Digital Wood’ décor was awarded the ‘Diament Meblarstwa’ (Diamond of the Furniture Industry) award – the first prize in the ‘Materials for Surface Finishing’ category

Interprint Poland was awarded the prestigious award ‘Diament Meblarstwa‘ – Diamond of the Furniture Industry – in January 2011. The award in the ‘Materials for Surface Finishing’ category was received by Marketing Manager Sylwia Lasota. The awarding of the prize took place at the Businessman Institute in Warsaw.

The ‘Diament Meblarstwa’ acknowledges the unique design of Interprint’s ‘Digital Wood’ décor. The décor, developed for the T40 table series, was designed by the famous Tomek Rygalik. The design combines the contours of wood grain and creative graphic design. The black and white décor looks very three-dimensional due to a moiré effect.

The organiser of the prestigious ‘Diament Meblarstwa’ competition is meble.pl, the leading industry portal in Poland. Almost 50 companies from the furniture industry participated in the competition. More than 100 products in 20 categories were examined by the jury of 15 members, comprised of representatives of furniture fairs and research institutes as well as architects and designers.

A cheque for 15,000 Zloties was presented to representatives of the ‘Akogo’ foundation during the celebration. The money came from a Calendar Project sponsored by Interprint and other companies. The entire proceeds go to a foundation that was founded by the actress Ewa Blaszczyk that is dedicated to the rehabilitation of children with serious brain injuries.
