Interprint Pioneer of the USA Retired from Active Management
Top Management of the Interprint Group thanked William M. Hines Senior for many years of commitment – generation change completed
Interprint said “thank you” to its retiring “Pioneer” on the American market: William M. Hines Senior, who founded the first subsidiary of the Arnsberg-based Interprint Group, Interprint, Inc., in 1987, has retired from active management. The sole management of Interprint USA has been taken over by William M. Hines Junior and Jens Bauer. William M. Hines Senior will be available to the company as a consultant for four more years.
William Hines Jun., who joined the company in 1997, was initially Sales Manager and later Vice President - Sales and Marketing at Interprint USA. He is now responsible for Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Design and R&D at Interprint, Inc.. Jens Bauer initially worked as a manager for Wrede Industrieholding GmbH & Co. KG, the parent company of the Interprint Group. He later took over the Marketing department at the German Interprint GmbH & Co. KG. He joined the subsidiary in the USA in 2002. Jens Bauer is now responsible for Finance, Purchasing, Information Technology, Operations and Technical Support.
This completes a generation change at Interprint, Inc., which was initiated one and a half years ago: William M. Hines Junior and Jens Bauer took up their posts as managing directors for the aforementioned departments at the beginning of 2006.
Looking back on 20 exciting and eventful years in the North-American market, Michael Nitz thanked, on behalf of the entire Interprint Group, the retiring President & CEO for his successful work: “With foresight, determination and continuous optimism, William M. Hines Sen. managed to make Interprint a market leader in the USA. We thank him for his excellent work and are delighted that he will continue to give us advice and support in North America.” Nitz, management spokesman of the Interprint Group, praised Hines Sen. as a pioneer and trailblazer for decor printing in the USA. Under his management and with the aid of the German parent company, the first decor printing press went into production in 1989. In the subsequent years, the Interprint pioneer managed to make Interprint, Inc. the unchallenged market leader of the North American decor printing industry.
When Hines founded the subsidiary, Interprint, Inc., in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he had no idea how successful the company would later be: the facility was bursting at all seams at the end of the millennium. He therefore let a long-standing wish come true: Under his management and with an investment volume of US$ 24 million, the most modern production facility of the North American decor printing industry was erected in Pittsfield.
The motto of their predecessor – “No dream is too big for those who reach for the stars” – is one that William M. Hines Junior and Jens Bauer also want to follow. “Our joint objective is to maintain the consistent growth of Interprint, Inc. – based on the principles of quality, commitment, passion and performance”, was how Hines Junior described the objectives of top management. “These principles are the foundation on which Bill Hines Senior built the most successful company in the North American market and on which we will continue to grow“, added Jens Bauer.
