New Dimensions of Design
‘interzum 2007’: New decors underscore Interprint’s lead in technology and design

‘interzum 2007’ provided Interprint an excellent stage for the presentation of decors featuring advanced reproduction and engraving technology. Interprint’s open floorplan exhibit, entitled “Discover a new dimension of design”, attracted numerous visitors. The highlights of the new collection ranged from trendy walnut to fruitwood and exotic layouts of rosewood and palm leaves. Mediterranean-inspired stone decors and creative retro decors were also popular. As a special highlight, beech heartwood was unveiled in a new form and colouring. The collection showed what extensive design experience, reproduction expertise and latest technology achieve: trend decors that promise success well beyond the current season.

Heartwood with class: beech and walnut

One of the best sellers at ‘interzum’ was the in-trend ‘Rosemoor Beech’ heartwood decor. One of its special features is the flatly arranged heart elements that transition smoothly into the classical beech structure. This results in an extremely harmonious look that isn’t dominated by heartwood elements. Simply pleasant: ‘Rosemoor Beech’ fulfils the needs of many consumers with an unobtrusive, timeless elegance. This new Interprint decor can be used in living room, bedroom and in kitchen furniture manufacturing.

In contrast, ‘Noce Marino’ gains depth and elegance by emphasizing a walnut heartwood element. The advantages of the flowery-stripy structure are contrast-rich colours, which change from warm, medium-brown walnut shades to dark-brown heartwood accents. The lighter the base colour is, the more strongly the dark stripes stand out from the structure. All details of the grain are sharp and beautifully depicted. ‘Noce Marino’ is an exceptional decor for home furniture and interior finishing.

Fruitwood in trend: cherry and pear

Interprint’s ‘Carena Cherry’ decor shows variations of cherrywood’s typical light-reddish colour in a natural layout. Stripy and flowery elements are combined in a planked design with a width of about eight to ten centimetres. Reflections, small knots and mineral deposits enrich the picture. As an added benefit, transverse processing is also possible.

‘Glarus Pear’ is the first choice for high-quality furniture fronts, particularly in the kitchen area. The pearwood has a classic look with cut flowers, a slight grain emphasis and a nice plank effect. Its soft colour graduation is charming, giving off an airy freshness. ‘Glarus Pear’ is in trend for furniture design with fruitwood.

Exotics with temperament

For a wealth of natural colour, exotic wood decors are the right choice. An attractive example is Interprint’s ‘Teresina Rosewood’. The interpretation of a South American Rio Rosewood shows temperamental stripes of beige-yellow to red and dark-brown. The décor provides a modern, strong-coloured exotic for accent-rich design in high-quality interior finishing.

Equally interesting, Interprint’s ‘Masari’ décor, inspired by palm leaves with a butcher’s block look. The layout can be creatively coloured so that, in addition to the natural version, variants in modern grey and dark colours have a strong effect. Providing additional contrast, the colouring of the butcher’s block elements is penetrated by a clear depiction of the palm leaf’s tissue structure. ‘Masari’ looks great on kitchen countertops, as flooring and in interior finishing areas.

Stone and creative decors: Mediterranean-inspired

Interprint’s ‘Jura’ decor offers multi-layered elegance in stone. The basis of this decor is a facet-rich Italian Jurasic chalk. Coloured inclusions produce a distinctive depth effect. The natural version of ‘Jura’ shows reddish brown shell elements and small fossil structures on an eggshell colour background. This is supplemented by dabbed shades - ranging from pink to beige - and finely-drawn marble-like grey graduations. ‘Jura’ magically produces Mediterranean flair on countertops and interior finishing – even on the floor.

A highly innovative representative of retro-designs is the ‘Kiano’ decor. Lines form to large ovals lie on a single-colour background. Tension, produced by irregular overlaps of these ovals in different areas, creates an overall character for the decor. Depending on colour choice, the background can create an interesting contrast with the sweeping oval contours. ‘Kiano’ is an inspiring design for furniture, countertops and interior design – particularly in combination with metal, plastic or wood.

All the decors in Interprint’s new collection are printed with laser-engraved cylinders. This technology guarantees brilliant results for every design – whether flat or accentuated, unobtrusive or lively: Natural colours in nuance-rich graduations, brilliant contrasts and three-dimensional depth distinguish this new generation in decor.
