Interprint Invests in Top-Coating Machinery at Factory in Poland

The Interprint Group has made the decision to invest in a top-coating machine at its factory in Ozorków (Poland). “The decision for this was that we wanted to offer our customers, particularly in the furniture sector, an additional service via a complete product range”, said Klaus-Dieter Mayer, managing director and management spokesman for the Interprint Group. This will allow Interprint, as a full service supplier, to guarantee an optimum decor match to furniture manufacturers that process both melamine film and pre-impregnated papers.

The machine has a maximum paper width of 2.75 m, exactly matching the printing press with the same production width at the Ozorków factory. The existing infrastructure and the orientation to the central European market were the decisive arguments for the factory in Poland. The machine will make available an annual top-coating capacity of 50 million m2 to the Interprint Group. Production start is scheduled for 1st quarter 2007.

Managing director Klaus-Dieter Mayer: “We are looking forward to entering the quality competition. The finished pre-impregnated papers that we will supply our customers with will conform to the highest quality standards.“ The machine works with an acid hardening coating system that can be applied in two-stages in one operation. This allows the highest resistance properties to be easily achieved.

Needless to say that environmental protection aspects have also been taken into account by Interprint: an exhaust air cleaning system that conforms to the latest ecological and technical standards will be installed at the same time.
