Interprint lays foundation stone for new production facility in Russia

Egorievsk (Russia). The Interprint Group laid the foundation stone for a new production facility in Egorievsk, about 100 kilometres south-east of Moscow, on 14 August 2006.

The internationally operating decor printing company with headquarters in Arnsberg, and a local sales office in Moscow since 1990, takes the fast-growing Russian decor market seriously by investing more than 20 million Euro. Interprint will exclusively produce for the Russian wood material industry at the new facility and locally offer its customers a large variety of decors and high service quality.

A two-storey administration building with 800 m² of floor space for offices and a production hall of approx. 4,000 m² will be constructed on the 72,000 m² large plot on the Egorievsk Industrial Estate. The start of production of furniture and flooring decors with a state-of-the-art 4-colour press with a maximum printing width of 2.20 m is scheduled for 2007. 50 new jobs will initially be created at the new facility and this number will later increase to up to 150.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Valery Aksakov, Duma Chairman for the Moscow region, Alexandr Sykov, First Deputy of the Head of Administration of the Egorievsk District, and Petra Kochendörfer, Deputy Head of the Economic & Commercial Department of the German Embassy. More than 40 guests from regional and national administrative authorities and representatives of the companies involved in the construction and regional media attended the ceremony.
