Masterly: Design Harmonies at Interprint
Current Decors and Successful Visual Effects at ZOW 2006
Whether classical, exotic, creative or modern-rustic: Interprint will present strong new decors for each trend theme at the ZOW 2006 trade fair in Bad Salzuflen (Germany). Natural, warm colours and harmonious contrasts set the tone on furniture surfaces. Colour effects such as white pores, white glaze and mother-of-pearl finish increasingly move into the trend focus. Interprint is expanding the window of opportunity for modern design by using innovative printing techniques for these decors.
Whitewashed, glazed or oiled effects lighten up the surface and accentuate contrasts. They especially give oak decors a contemporary rustic look. The layout of the ‘Secret Oak’ decor is characterised by the interplay of narrow and wide annual-ring segments. The white oiled effect emphasises the natural grain and produces brilliant highlights.
Classical European wood grains, such as cherry, walnut, pear and maple, are always popular. New from Interprint in this segment is “Lucie Cherry”, a cherry-wood decor with a distinct, partly flowered pattern. Shrub knots and annual rings in lateral directions form the basis of a rich play of colours. Natural light and dark shades are additionally upgraded through the use of mother of pearl.
The “Noce Senesi” decor with its differently shaped flower segments looks velvety soft but also vivid. Natural walnut colouring, medium-brown nuances and dark tobacco colours strengthen the striking appearance. The new design, which was co-developed with the foil manufacturer Hornschuch, is suitable for any type of furniture surface.
“Teak and more“ is Interprint’s ZOW motto for exotic decors. Successful in Italy with finely striped variants, teak is now also becoming popular in Northern Europe with strong grains. Meeting this demand, the new decor “Kerema Teak” shows not only vivid lines but also cut flowers, reflections and a natural pore picture. Brownish-black annual rings strengthen the exotic touch.
A flowing teak look is offered by “Teak Allover” with its lines of different widths, fine, dark fibres and cleavages. A slight “Striping” with harmonious colour contrasts supports the naturalness of this all-over design. The horizontal version “Teak Allover cross-directional“ with its longs elements gives cupboards / wardrobes, doors and bedroom furniture a fresh dynamic.
Interprint’s new ‘Australian Walnut’ decor comes up with a completely different visual effect: Its core parts have a fine grain but still reflect exoticness with an expressive play of colours and strong contrasts.
Finely structured, one-colour creative decors together with mother-of-pearl colours, whether solo or in combination with wood, set noble accents. Warm bronze shades and silky cream colours are very popular. Trend-setting in the high-quality mother-of-pearl and metallic presentation, Interprint will exhibit various designs with this effect at ZOW: The successful “Zeus” decor skilfully emphasises its fine texture with warm mother-of-pearl nuances. The new “Hammerschlag” (“Hammer Blow”) decor does justice to its name with accentuated mother-of-pearl effects. As a one-colour version with a hammered appearance in trendy red shades, the decor gives furniture surfaces real design impetus.
A strong striping effect and a distinct three-dimensionality characterise the sycamore “Match” decor. Mother-of-pearl colours in unobtrusive, elegant flows counterbalance the coarse-meshed structure. Glass fragments on a light background form the basis of the “Lava” decor. The contoured elements generate an interesting 3D effect, which beautifully stands out in classical mineral pigments on worktops and in mother-of-pearl shades on furniture fronts.
Classical, exotic, creative or modern-rustic are themes and trends presented in harmonious combinations by Interprint at ZOW in hall 22.2, on stand F22 / G17.
