Interprint Opens Engraving and Design Centre in Arnsberg (Germany)

Laser engraving facility and modern decor presentation: New building provides a perfect forum for design, technology and communication

The Interprint group will inaugurate its new Engraving and Design Centre at Interprint’s Arnsberg headquarters (Germany) on 28 September 2006. After a construction period of about 18 months, a modern building complex for trendsetting decor development and innovative technologies was completed next to the existing administration and production building. The elegantly furnished new building simultaneously serves as a communications centre for the international information exchange with customers, partners and employees.

With the new Engraving and Design Centre, Interprint is reinforcing its efficiency in decor development and customer service. Managing Director Michael Nitz: “A decisive factor was the ‘time to market’ aspect for our customers, i.e. the quick implementation of market requirements in new products. All central departments – Decor Development, Engraving, Sales and Presentation/Display – are now accommodated under one roof. This ensures short routes and efficient processes.“

The new laser engraving facility on the ground floor has been in operation since January 2006. Quality and productivity were crucial facets for Interprint’s investment in this future technology. Laser engraving allows precise printing, an even faster decor implementation and guarantees customers a 100% reproducibility of decors. Another advantage is greater variety: Decors unobtainable with conventional engraving can now be engraved with the laser technology. All other Interprint locations also have access to the new technology at any time.

The upper floors of the Centre provide office space for the Decor Development, Repro, Sales, Marketing and Decor Presentation/Display departments. Customers from around the world can experience design visions and take part in events featuring current decor themes in a modern equipped showroom.

With its multifunctional usage concept, Interprint’s new Engraving and Design Centre is an inviting communications centre where information on worldwide trends in the decor market is collected. Customers and employees can benefit from a knowledge advantage that has been secured by Interprint for quite some time now with its IPX - Interprint Exchange program. IPX makes sure that information on global furnishing topics, decor trends and market requirements from all over the world is bundled in order to develop decor solutions for the future from it. Customers can directly access this store of information from the worldwide Interprint locations at the new Centre and thus always be one step ahead on the market.
