Staff Fitness Promotion: 1st Health Day at Interprint
Interprint's staff had the opportunity of a thorough health check – the aim was to strengthen health consciousness.
Is my cholesterol level okay? Is my posture correct for spending long hours sitting in the office? How does my heart react to stress? The 1st Interprint Health Day gave an answer to these and many other questions. On 16th and 17th September, the employees of the Arnsberg-based décor printing company had the opportunity to thoroughly test their health and fitness.The participants were able to have their personal health profile drawn up with state-of-the-art methods. From head to toe: the offer ranged from auditory and vision tests to a spine check and digital foot measurement. Those who wanted a more in-depth check had the opportunity to undergo a heart stress test with a high-resolution single-channel electrocardiograph.
Regardless of whether they work in the office, colour laboratory or at a printing machine, competent advice was given on industrial health and safety issues like correct sitting or standing posture at the workplace and proper skin protection. Information on ‘healthy nutrition’ was also in great demand, and those who were not quite happy with their body mass index were able to benefit from the practical tips on healthy weight loss methods. Each examination was followed by a one-to-one talk on their health condition. Qualified medical experts from various health insurers and the Arnsberg Company Doctor Centre (Werksarztzentrum Arnsberg e.V.) were available for this purpose.
The first Interprint Health Day was very well received by the staff. Torsten Schönne, Personnel Manager at Interprint: “The aim of all activities was to strengthen the health consciousness of all our employees. They had the opportunity to have several tests at one time, to get competent advice and to take away valuable analyses and tips for their daily routine. After the successful debut, the Interprint Health Day event will certainly be repeated.”
