Construction Progressing on Schedule at the New Interprint Location in Russia
Interior finishing work at the modern production complex has already started – manufacturing for the Russian market will begin in the third quarter of 2007
The Interprint Group is completely on schedule with the construction of its new production facility in Egorievsk (Russia). Interior finishing work will now be started, after the roofs of both the production hall and the office building were put on before the delayed onset of winter weather. In August, 2006, Interprint laid the foundation for the Egorievsk factory, which is approximately 100 kilometres southeast of Moscow.
A two-story administration building with 800 square metres of floor space and a production hall of about 4,000 square metres are being constructed at the new location. Since the construction of the roofs, electrical service has been installed, further expediting the interior finishing phase of this project.
In the third quarter of 2007, a state-of-the-art four-colour press featuring a printing width of up to 2.20 metres will be put into operation for the production of furniture and flooring décors. Printers from the Egorievsk region will be specially trained in the latest printing techniques and processes at Interprint’s headquarters in Arnsberg (Germany) beginning in January, 2007.
Interprint is responding to the rapidly expanding Russian décor market by investing approximately 20 million Euros in the construction of this new facility. In line with the proven strategy, “Think global, act local”, the new factory will manufacture for the Russian derived timber products industry exclusively. This ensures efficient transportation, simplified order processing and a wider variety of local décor available to Interprint Russia’s customers.
