Quality Management

At Interprint, quality is planned and checked at all production stages. As the first German decor printer, Interprint was certified to DIN ISO 9001 in March 1996.

Repro

In the Repro Department, originals like real wood, stones and creative artwork are first digitalized and then arranged according to a layout, retouched, spaced equally, made continuous and separated into the desired number of colours on special workstations – all with a great attention to detail. The graphics file is edited for engraving readiness and then engraved on printing cylinders.

Printing Cylinders

Laboratory and production cylinders are manufactured to stringent quality standards at our in-house Engraving Department. In addition to conventional mechanical engraving, we are also the first décor printer worldwide to offer laser engraving. This system is not only considerably faster than mechanical engraving but also allows more brilliance and depth effect in décor printing.

Base Paper

We demand the highest quality paper from our suppliers, in every colour and weight, to meet the needs of our customers.

Printing Ink

We only use solvent-free ink with organic pigments that do not contain any heavy metals. Excess ink is re-fed into the production process. After each press run, our cylinders and presses are cleaned with water, which is then recycled in our wastewater treatment plant.

Printing Machines

We print on state-of-the-art rotogravure presses with a maximum width of 2,730 mm and a speed of up to 450m/min. Quality is checked before and after coating (HPL/LPL/CPL).

Rewinder

The printed roll of décor paper is unrolled and rolled up again on a rewinder. The paper undergoes another quality inspection during this process and is – if the customer wishes so – cutted to a certain width.

Packaging System

Finally, the paper is packed for shipment in the Packaging Department and then sent to the customer.
