“Colour Matching Race” at Interprint Italia
A special kind of race, the first “Colour Matching Race” took place at the Italian Interprint location in Affi last December.Many Italian customers came to be part of this unusual competition and to learn more about the development and matching of décor colours.
Teams were drawn by lottery and the result was that customers being competitors in the market were suddenly “all in the same boat.” Each team had to match a décor colour within two hours. Even though the participants were concentrating, the fun factor was not left behind. Also, a visual colour test was completed during the day and each mistake led to a score deduction. In the end, a professional jury consisting of Interprint Italia printers rated the samples.
“It was not really easy to match the right colour, but it was an interesting experience. My respect for the printers who have to match finest shades every day has grown”, said one of the participants.
Paolo Antonini, Marketing Manager of Interprint Italia: “As the feedback of the participants was very positive, another Colour Matching Race will surely be organized in 2008.” Winking, he added: “Thus our customers have one year time to train.“
